2. What RentNTaiwan Does

RentNTaiwan provides housing-discovery tools, rental information, neighborhood information, practical guides, renter resources and other information related to living in Taiwan.

Unless we clearly state otherwise, RentNTaiwan is not the owner, landlord, property manager, real-estate broker or agent for properties displayed on the website.

We do not represent a renter, landlord, agent or property owner merely because information about a property appears on RentNTaiwan.

Some properties displayed or referenced on RentNTaiwan may originate from third-party websites or other outside sources. These will be identified as External Listings wherever practical.

External Listings may include a link to the original source so visitors can view the original listing, verify current information, see additional details or contact the original advertiser.

RentNTaiwan does not claim ownership of third-party listings merely because we link to or reference them.

Information on an External Listing may change without notice. Always check the original source before relying on availability, pricing, photographs, contact information or other important details.

RentNTaiwan may later allow landlords, agents, current tenants and other authorized users to submit properties directly to the platform. When this feature becomes available, these properties will be clearly distinguished from External Listings.

People submitting a property must provide accurate information and must have the legal right or appropriate permission to submit the listing, photographs, contact information and other content they provide.

A direct listing appearing on RentNTaiwan does not mean that RentNTaiwan owns, manages or independently guarantees the property unless we explicitly state otherwise.

Property information can become outdated. Before paying money or signing a rental agreement, independently confirm important information including:

6. Predicted Costs

RentNTaiwan may display features such as Predicted Monthly Cost or Predicted Move-In Cost. These figures are estimates calculated from information available to us.

They are not quotes, guarantees or final bills.

Unknown expenses are not intentionally treated as zero, but there may still be expenses we do not know about.

7. Maps, Transportation and Travel Times

RentNTaiwan may provide Google Maps links, transportation information, approximate travel times and neighborhood information.

Travel times are estimates and can change because of traffic, transfers, weather, time of day, construction, starting location and other conditions.

Use the appropriate transportation provider or mapping service when current directions or travel times are important.

The Know Your Rights section provides general educational information about renting in Taiwan. It is not individualized legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship.

Laws, regulations, government procedures and official interpretations can change.

RentNTaiwan aims to link to authoritative sources where appropriate, but users should confirm important matters using the official source or a qualified professional.

9. Life in Taiwan

Life in Taiwan articles, Quick Tips, neighborhood information and other guides are provided for general informational purposes.

We try to keep information useful and current, but businesses close, transportation changes, prices change, procedures change and everyday experiences differ.

Visitors are encouraged to report information that appears outdated.

10. Third-Party Websites

RentNTaiwan contains links to websites we do not operate, including property websites, government websites, mapping services, transportation providers, businesses and other resources.

Opening an external link means the visitor is leaving RentNTaiwan. RentNTaiwan does not control the availability, content, security, privacy practices or terms of outside websites.

A link does not automatically mean that RentNTaiwan endorses, represents or has a commercial relationship with that organization.

If RentNTaiwan enables property listings, place recommendations, Quick Tips, feedback or other user submissions, users must submit content they have the right to provide.

Users may not submit content that is knowingly:

Users may not upload malware, executable code, malicious scripts or content intended to compromise RentNTaiwan or its visitors.

RentNTaiwan may review, format, reject, hide or remove submitted content when reasonably necessary to operate or protect the service.

12. Permission to Display Submitted Content

If someone voluntarily submits content for publication, they retain their rights in content they own.

They give RentNTaiwan non-exclusive permission to host, store, display, format, resize, translate and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to provide and promote the RentNTaiwan service. The submitter represents that they have the rights necessary to give us that permission.

If the content-license structure changes materially when direct property submissions launch, these Terms will be updated before that feature becomes available.

Future features may allow Chinese property information submitted directly to RentNTaiwan to be automatically translated into English.

Machine translation can make mistakes. The original submitter remains responsible for the accuracy of the underlying property information.

Users should confirm important contract or financial terms before relying on a translation.

14. Acceptable Use

Visitors may use RentNTaiwan for normal personal and lawful purposes. Users may not:

Unless otherwise identified, RentNTaiwan's original articles, graphics, branding, logo, design elements and other original content belong to RentNTaiwan or are used under an appropriate license.

Third-party photographs, trademarks and content remain the property of their respective owners.

Visitors may link to public RentNTaiwan pages. Republishing substantial original RentNTaiwan content may require permission.

RentNTaiwan aims to remain available and useful, but the website cannot be guaranteed to operate without interruption or error.

The service may be maintained, updated, modified, suspended or discontinued when reasonably necessary.

Features marked Coming Soon, Planned or Future are descriptions of intended development and are not promises of release.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, RentNTaiwan is not responsible for losses arising solely from inaccurate or outdated information supplied by third parties, decisions made between renters and property providers, third-party websites, or services outside our control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability or consumer rights where applicable law does not allow us to do so.

These Terms may be updated as RentNTaiwan changes. The current version and effective date will be displayed on this page.

Material changes may also be communicated through the website or another reasonable method.

19. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China), without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the use of RentNTaiwan is subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Taiwan, subject to applicable law.
